How Velven handles your information.

If you create an account, Velven stores the details needed to sign you in and the profile you choose to show, such as a handle, a display name and a picture.

If you list a space, like or dislike one, save one, follow a creator or send feedback, Velven stores what you submit. Listings and profiles are public by design.

If you play a space that uses Velven's leaderboards or saves, Velven stores the scores you post, which that space's boards show under your handle, and the progress the space saves for you: in your browser, and in your account when you are signed in. The space's creator cannot read your saved progress; a space resets it from its own menu. Your scores and saves are deleted with your account.

If you publish a space's files, Velven stores the files, the details you give with them and the result of each version's safety check. If you publish without an account, Velven keeps a one-way hash of your network address to limit how much one address can publish, and a fingerprint of the claim token, never the token itself; an unclaimed page is deleted with its files after 7 days.

If you comment, like a comment, add friends, chat in a room or upload something through a space (a level or a replay, say), Velven stores what you submit, and the achievements, stats and points a space records for you. While you have a space open, signed in, Velven records which space it is, when you were last seen, and any status line the space sets for your friends. Velven keeps the notifications it shows you for 90 days.

When you browse, Velven collects the usage information any website receives, such as the pages you visit and technical details about your device and connection. It is used in aggregate to keep the service working and its rankings fair.

To provide the service, keep it secure, count activity honestly, respond to reports and requests, and improve it. Velven does not sell your information. If you allow Google Ads measurement, Velven can measure visits from its advertising campaigns.

Public parts of your profile and your listings are visible to anyone. Everything else is seen only by Velven and by the providers it relies on to run, who act on its behalf and under its instructions. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.

A space is served by its own host, which may collect its own data under its own policy. When you are signed in and play a space that uses Sign in with Velven, Velven gives that space your account ID, handle and avatar, so it can show who is playing and keep your scores. Otherwise Velven sends the host no more than your browser would if you opened the link directly.

Comments are public on the space's page, and your achievements and points on yours. Your friends list shows on your page unless you turn on Keep my friends list private in settings. What you are playing, when you were last seen and a space's status line are shown only to your friends, and your notifications and pending friend requests only to you. Room chat and messages go to the players in the room and are not kept after it closes, unless someone reports a chat line. Something you upload through a space is public or private, as you choose there.

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your choices. Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are used only when you allow the corresponding Google measurement option. Your choice is remembered in this browser for up to six months.

PostHog provides product analytics, including visits, returning browsers and service activity. Its browser integration uses a random identifier in local storage. For about one in ten browsers it also records the session (what is typed is masked). Automatic form and click capture are disabled.

When enabled and allowed, Google Analytics measures page views. Google Ads measurement, when configured, measures campaign traffic. Google may receive device and connection information, cookie identifiers and campaign identifiers. Velven does not send your email, display name, account ID or form contents in these Google events. Personalized advertising and Google signals are disabled in our integration.

Your account and what you have posted stay until you delete them. Notifications are kept for 90 days, test data from previews for 30 days after its last change, a page published without an account for 7 days unless it is claimed, and the files of a deleted account's spaces published on Velven for 30 days. Usage information is kept only as long as it is needed and is then discarded or reduced to counts.

You can edit your profile and your listings in settings, and delete your account there: it takes your spaces off Velven and deletes your profile, scores, saves, uploads, comments, likes, friends, achievements, points and notifications; the files of the spaces you published on Velven are deleted 30 days later. A deleted comment that others replied to stays as a marker with no text or name, so their replies still read. To access or correct your information, or to remove a listing, email privacy@velven.ai from the address you signed in with. If your site was listed without your consent, the same address removes it, or use Feedback on the space's page.

Velven is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly keep accounts for them.
